I’m having issues with my IT382 class right now. Well, it’s not so much the class but it’s more having to do with frustration with the Professors lack of grading. This is a pretty strict Professor that repeated several times if you make certain mistakes then she would give you an automatic zero. One such as myself starts shaking when I hear that because I work hard for my good grades.

The problem I’m having is … I’m not getting any direction. I should have already started my Phase 3 Individual Project by now because I like to hand in my work early and not feel rushed to get it done. I’m hesitant however, because the Professor hasn’t graded my previous two Individual Projects so I don’t even know if I’m on the right path. This is so frustrating to me. It’s more then frustrating. I’ve emailed her about not grading the first one and I got a less then friendly email back saying she had a lot of papers to grade and I would just have to wait. She made an announcement to my class that she would have the first individual project graded by the 21st, and the 2nd Individual project graded by last night or early this morning. So far, nothing.

So, I feel like I’m winging it and I hate that. I feel that she’s not providing any guidance and it’s so frustrating. I also don’t think it’s very fair to our class. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way.

Sigh.

Spring is in the air! I woke up to my front yard rocking hard with brilliant colors. I had Springto take a picture before I quickly ran to the car so I wouldn’t be any later to work then I already was. I am looking forward to my Mother and Grandmother’s visit so they can see everything in it’s full color.

I was playing around with iMovie last night and for once I was disappointed in Mac software. I’ve used Movie Maker on Windows Vista once and was able to edit my Driving Home video. While I was playing with iMovie last night, being very impressed with how easy it was to crop, add sound and transitions I was looking for more effects. I didn’t find any. One effect in particular I was looking for was the ability to do slow motion on a clip. How can iMovie not have this without installing a 3rd party application? The other Apple solution to this is Final Cut Studio 2 with a hefty price tag of $1,299.00. I’m sure Final Cut Studio 2 is worth it, but for people like me who don’t have an extra $1,200 hanging loose in their pocket what is one to do? Anyone have a suggestion?

It’s becoming very obvious that this quarter is going to kick my ass sideways and front-ways and every which way it possibly can. I’m actually a little bit scared. My Systems Administration class requires 5-10 page APA sytle papers per week. This includes the cover sheet, a table of contents, a summery page and a references page. I’ve noticed that Office 2008 for Mac is my best friend more then I realized because it has all that stuff built in. I just have to customize it to my liking and the hard part is writing the actual paper itself.

I’m afraid that my WoW days are going to be extremely limited for the next 6 weeks. As sad as that makes me, school is priority.

Luckily I have the first few assignments completed for my Java class already but it doesn’t mean I don’t have a ton of studying to do, because I do. A TON.

Well, it’s the end of the quarter and I just got my final grades back for my IT254 class and I ended the quarter with a B+. I have the whole next week off from school and so far I’ve been spending that time playing WoW which after careful thought I should be using that time to get me ahead a little with Java.

Overall Stats for school (Yay, I made the deans list again!):

Program: Associate of Science in Information Technology
Concentration: Software Systems Engineering
Enrollment Status: Active
GPA: 3.73
Credits Attempted: 38.00
Credits Earned: 65.00
